Stephanie Springgay is an artist, curator, scholar and the principal investigator on The Pedagogical Impulse research-creation project. She is Director of the School of the Arts (SOTA), at McMaster University, Canada. Her research focuses on embodiment, the senses, and theories of affect and movement in contemporary and educational spaces, bringing together curriculum theory, aesthetics, and theories of research-creation. Other projects include WalkingLab and The Artist Soup Kitchen, with Jess Dobkin.
