Stephanie Springgay

Stephanie Spring­gay is an artist, cura­tor, schol­ar and the prin­ci­pal inves­ti­ga­tor on The Ped­a­gog­i­cal Impulse research-cre­ation project. She is Direc­tor of the School of the Arts (SOTA), at McMas­ter Uni­ver­si­ty, Cana­da. Her research focus­es on embod­i­ment, the sens­es, and the­o­ries of affect and move­ment in con­tem­po­rary and edu­ca­tion­al spaces, bring­ing togeth­er cur­ricu­lum the­o­ry, aes­thet­ics, and the­o­ries of research-cre­ation. Oth­er projects include Walk­ingLab and The Artist Soup Kitchen, with Jess Dobkin.
