Rodrigo Hernandez-Gomez

Rodri­go Her­nan­dez-Gomez is orig­i­nal­ly from Mex­i­co City, he has lived in Hal­i­fax and Toron­to, Cana­da since 1996. Rodri­go has col­lab­o­rat­ed with La Lle­ca Col­lec­tive in Mex­i­co City, he is cur­rent­ly a mem­ber of the No Media Col­lec­tive based in Toron­to, and he is also mem­ber of the Ecol­o­gy Action Centre’s Board of Direc­tors in Halifax…

Fol­low­ing his sec­ond migra­tion to Cana­da, in 2006, Rodri­go has con­tin­ued to devel­op a prac­tice on aes­thet­ics and socio-polit­i­cal con­cerns. His recent projects take on long term col­lab­o­ra­tive inquiries on immigrant’s “sus­pend­ed” knowl­edge and con­se­quent­ly on ques­tion­ing the role of cul­tur­al prac­tices, his most recent work focus­es on the ques­tion of new cul­tur­al forms/lives. Rodri­go grad­u­at­ed from the MFA pro­gram at York University.
