Rodrigo Hernandez-Gomez is originally from Mexico City, he has lived in Halifax and Toronto, Canada since 1996. Rodrigo has collaborated with La Lleca Collective in Mexico City, he is currently a member of the No Media Collective based in Toronto, and he is also member of the Ecology Action Centre’s Board of Directors in Halifax…
Following his second migration to Canada, in 2006, Rodrigo has continued to develop a practice on aesthetics and socio-political concerns. His recent projects take on long term collaborative inquiries on immigrant’s “suspended” knowledge and consequently on questioning the role of cultural practices, his most recent work focuses on the question of new cultural forms/lives. Rodrigo graduated from the MFA program at York University.
